CDB has been designing and building beautiful, resource efficient homes since before there was Green Building. We continue to carefully research best practices to combine value and performance helping our clients realize the best possible solutions to achieve design alchemy, using simple elements combined thoughtfully to produce exceptional results.

Michael loves to write about green building best practices almost as much as he loves to study and teach about it. Maybe one day there will be a book about all we've learned, until then this link will lead those who are interested to PDFs of published essays from Green Building Advisor and Fine Homebuilding Magazine.

In 2011 Michael was recognized by the National Association of Home Builders as Green Builder/Advocate of the year. He continues to push the industry forward by promoting better building codes, fine tuning the National Green Building Standard, working to get MSDS listings of toxic flame retardants in building materials, and through teaching with the NAHB Univ. of Housing.

Dedicated craftsmen having a great time building beautiful, high performance homes for enthusiastically satisfied clients.
